Well, we had the tree sitting in the living room without decorations when my four and two year old granddaughters came over. So, they started it for me. Doesn't it look beautiful?
I think it's lovely. And I don't think you should make any changes to what they've done.
Far too often, we want a "perfect" Christmas tree, and since those little hands don't decorate "perfectly", we move their ornaments around. I say leave it as is...the faith of a child put them there.
Oops. I already moved them. The reason my tree was sitting there bare that day is that I had trouble with a string of lights and needed to go get more lights yesterday. Now I have to put the new lights on and can't do it with the ornaments there. I've had many struggles with this lights situation and I wish I could have just left it alone as you suggested. Unfortunately, my little decorators won't be back over for quite a few days and I need to get this trimming over with. However, I hear they did a very good job with their own tree last night. I hear Lena does quite a good job at the trimming. Shana, the younger, did most of the work on mine, and you should have seen how carefully and lovingly she was placing the ornaments. Wish I had thought to take a picture of them in action!
It looks beautiful, although I read your comment about having to add lights, so it will be fun to see how they rearrange the ornaments next time they come over! Our little ones haven't seen ours yet, but I imagine they will be "tweaking" Nana's work when they come!
I am a sinner saved by grace. Every day I am reminded of how thankful I am for the blood of Jesus Christ, which has saved me from my sins and made me a child of God.
I am a wife of one, a mama of two and a nanna of three so far, trying to write and live to the glory of God in my latter years.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Please stay awhile and look around my little corner of the internet. I love having you and would be delighted if you'd leave a comment. Maybe we'll share a smile or tear together, enjoy a recipe, riddle or poem. Whatever we do here, I hope that it will be to encourage each other in our pilgrimage. Have a wonderful day and please come again--very soon.
Blessings,
Maxine ( a/k/a Nanna)
Remember thewords of Jesus:"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. . .Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:35-36, 40
