It's one hundred plus degrees here. We are surely having a heat wave! What's it like where you are? I just got back from the post office and all I can say is "Whew!"
Yikes! I am so sorry that you are experiencing such hot weather, Maxine! I saw a map on our noon news and it looks as if most of the country is in the same boat, except our area. We are only in the upper 60s and cloudy. I must say the coolness feels good, and I wish I could send it your way!! Hugs, Laurie
We're in about the low 80's, but by tomorrow it will be in the mid 90's. We've had a very strange year...hardly any spring, and even kind of cool over the 4th of July weekend. (Cool to me, anyway, as it was 59 and very windy Saturday morning...the wind always makes it so much cooler.)
I'm definitely more of a warm weather gal to a cool one.
I am a bit envious of Neesie's recent trip to the beach (as evidenced by her FB photo). I miss the ocean always, but on a hot summer day, there's no place like it!!
We were where you are now nearly all summer last year. Thankfully, south Texas is not quite as hot this year. It has only been in the low 90's - quite bearable for us. I hope it cools off there soon.
Oh my......that's a lot of heat! We're having temps in the 90's here. We have a higher humidty level than eastern Washington, but lower than the midwest and the east coast for sure! I hope you manage to keep cool. (((hugs)))
I am a sinner saved by grace. Every day I am reminded of how thankful I am for the blood of Jesus Christ, which has saved me from my sins and made me a child of God.
I am a wife of one, a mama of two and a nanna of three so far, trying to write and live to the glory of God in my latter years.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Please stay awhile and look around my little corner of the internet. I love having you and would be delighted if you'd leave a comment. Maybe we'll share a smile or tear together, enjoy a recipe, riddle or poem. Whatever we do here, I hope that it will be to encourage each other in our pilgrimage. Have a wonderful day and please come again--very soon.
Blessings,
Maxine ( a/k/a Nanna)
Remember thewords of Jesus:"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. . .Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:35-36, 40

Talk about envious! I'm envious of you guys. I don't get along with hot weather and never did! Please send me some of your, Laurie!
And Patti, I don't like the beach either. Not a summer person at all!

I don't think it is 100 here, maybe mid 90's. It is really hot.
We had that awful HOT weather but thank goodness the last few days we've had a lot of rain. I love the rain and so does our yard & garden :o)
"Whew" is right...we had several weeks of high 90's, but the last few days have been in the upper 80's...I am counting the days until fall....
My daughter and son in law are in New Jersey this week, looks like they brought south Mississippi's heat with them! Sorry!
Hope things get cooler for you all soon!
