Joseph

Last week was a sort of "vacation" week for us as Neesie had off work and we just sort of "hung out" as the young folks say. The best part of the week was an overnight stay in Lancaster County, PA (Amish country) where we went to the Sight & Sound Theatres to see their production of "Joseph." It's well worth your time if you live anywhere in that area. Next week is our VBS and the theme is the story of Joseph. So I'm getting a double dose of my favorite Bible story. Do you have a favorite story and if so, what is it?

Here's a very quick trailer of the production:

I'm sure it was great. They have a Sight & Sound in Branson, MO and last fall I got to see Noah there. It was outstanding. I'd love to see Joseph. Glad you had a good time.

Sounds awesome...

I love so many of the great bible stories, but Elijah and the widow with the oil and flour comes to mind right now....

Sounds like a fabulous time. I would SO enjoy seeing something like that.

Genesis is one of my favorite books of the Bible, so I, too, like the story of Jospeh. But I think my favorite is The Prodigal Son (for reasons which you understand).

Anyhow, it sounds like a lovely vacation week y'all had.

Blessings and hugs,
Patti

I am glad you had a nice week of "hanging out"; it was hopefully a time of refreshment and rest, Maxine. The production of Joseph sounds wonderful - I had never heard of Sight and Sound Theatres.

I love the story of Ruth, for her loyalty to Naomi and her love and commitment to Israel and God.

Always a joy to hear from you!
Blessings an love,
Laurie

My Mom and Dad used to live in Lancaster, Maxine, and went to that theater a few times. They always really enjoyed it.
I love Joseph's story too. I am just finishing up a Bible Study on Ruth and have thoroughly enjoyed going deeper into her story.

I really like the Ruth story as well. So much depth in those four chapters. We did Ruth in VBS once and it was one of my favorites. I couldn't believe all the riches that were dug out by the lady who wrote the curriculum for the children of all ages.

I know you enjoyed the Amish Country. My sister lives about 75 miles from Lancaster and I have been there about three times. I really enjoyed it.
