Lovely Weather
It's been a while since I posted a picture of my two girlies, so here it is. I think they're the only ones in the family who are enjoying this weather. It's been unbelievable. The photo above was a couple of weeks ago. We have had much more snow since then.
I think I better remind myself of some reasons why I dislike summer. I don't want to forget it while we're going through this particularly difficult winter. . .
Mosquitoes
Sticky humidity

Thunderstorms

Well. Now I feel better. I'll not start pining away for July.
And about the granddaughters. I just saw the sweetest prayer at a friend's blog. Go here to read Karen's prayer, because I echo the sentiments.

Maxine, was thinking about you while listening to the weather report the other day for the northeast. Hope you all get a break from the snow before too long!
You little ones look quite content!
Blessings,
Debra
Thanks for thinking of me, Debra. It's been really something.
That is a cute picture, Maxine. I wondered what "lovely weather" you were talking about. That's a sweet poem too. We can long for Spring.
Oh boy, Cathy, I've never been accused of writing poetry, but I'll count it as that!
I can't long for spring either. I'm scared of caterpillars, lol!
Maxine,
I keep comforting myself with the fact that I don't live in the Northeast with 2 feet of snow!! Indiana has had plenty. Your girls look pretty happy there! Thanks for your comment and link. Bless you and your family.
Your welcome, Karen. Love your blog!
I, too, have been thinking of you and all of that snow, Maxine! Ours is just about gone with more due to come tomorrow, but I do not think we will get the amounts you have gotten! I did visit Karen's blog and the prayer is wonderful. Thank you for sending me her way!
I am a summer person from the inside out and I have to keep reminding myself that these cold winters will kill off the ticks and fleas... BUT come on summer ....... I need to be outside in the sonshine!
Have a great Sunday!
I remember the winters of my childhood, when we lived up north. We absolutely loved playing in the snow. We made forts and snow angels, went sleigh riding for hours and hours. However...I grew less fond of it when I was an adult and trying to get around in it.
They look so cute Maxine!
Have a blessed Lord's Day, my dear friends - Laurie, Denise, and Linda! Stay warm!
I like your attitude! Those darn mosquitoes can ruin everything can't they!
Exactly, Brenda. I'm serious. They do ruin the summer for me; we tend to have them bad outside and there's always one or two who manage to get in the house. I am very suspicious of our dog--I think he gives them a ride in from the back yard. They LOVE him. And we won't talk about the fleas. At least they didn't get into the carpet like they did a few summers ago. That was murderous.
Hope your Lord's Day is blessed by Him.
Those babies are darling Maxine...I know you enjoy them! : )
