Tuesday Tips #3

I only have a moment, but couldn't resist this. For those of you who are tempted to go out and get a star named for someone you love, maybe you better think again. It's been my understanding that all the stars already have names. Besides, perhaps you can save the money for something else.

A couple of verses from this morning's devotions:

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. Isaiah 40:26

He [the Lord] telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Psalm 147:4

Hope to get by to visit some of you later today!

Thanks for those neat verses, Maxine.

I love this Maxine. I thought about those verses when they were trying to get people to buy as Christmas presents a star named for someone. Sorry - as you've said - they all have their own names already.

Wonderful verses...they're such a good reminder to me that the God who knows each star by their name knows every detail of my life as well.

That is wonderful and such an awesome knowledge that all the stars already have a name......... I saw that years ago and thought about doing that........ but now I will just enjoy the beauty AND the knowledge that HE has even named the stars........

You are so funny! And so right! When I consider ALL the stars out there, that ever were, and are, and will be, it boggles my mind to think He knows/knew each one by name.

Thanks for the smile. Think I'll pass this on to the family and see their smiles as well.
