Casting Your Care

If you want to read what others have posted for Word Filled Wednesday, go visit Penny at pennyraine.com.

I posted this picture and a hymn on my devotional blog some time ago and directed the post to some friends who were going through trials. But then, there are always friends going through trials, aren't there? Trials are so much a part of this life. Aren't you thankful that Jesus cares? Here is a stanza and the chorus response from that hymn that goes so well with this verse:

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress
And the way grows weary and long?

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.

Thank you, Maxine, for reminding us how very much Jesus cares for us. I love this hymn, and it comforts me to know that He understands my pain and the pain & sorrows of those I love, and I can hold them loosely in my hand, trusting them to His care. Your heart for Jesus is such a blessing to me, Maxine. I hope you have a blessing-filled Wednesday!

What a poignant picture to go with that verse. I love that verse! It is one of my favorites. :-) It reminds me of one of my favorite "children's songs".

"I cast all my cares upon you.
I lay all of my burdens down at your feet.
And anytime I don't know what to do
I will cast all my cares upon you."

Yes, He cares so much for us. I recently wrote a devotion based on that verse (and a personal experience when God showed me just how much He cares). Wonderful reminder!
