Fruitbearing

You can find more Word Filled Wednesday posts to bless your soul at Cristy's Critty Joy.

The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bear fruit in old age;
They shall be fresh and flourishing,
To declare that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

Psalm 92:12-15

This passage has been dear to me for a good while now, but as the years pass, it becomes even more so. I know quite a few golden years folks who are really living this passage and they are such encouragements to me. Now that I too am older, I sure do pray the Lord will give me strength to bear fruit to His glory, even in old age.

He will and does, Maxine, because His word is truth and He is faithful and He is the same yesterday, today and forever. What a mighty God we are privileged to serve.

What a good reminder and encouragment to us as we age, we are to "still bear fruit" and "be fresh and flourishing" and most of all "to declare the Lord upright." And as you said so well, Maxine, we pray the Lord will give us the strwgth we need. Thank you!

P.S. So glad you did not get flooding, etc, from the storms recently! Praise God1

Blessings Maxine...Great verse and beautiful fruit! May we bear fruit all the days of our lives!

Thank you for your visit. The reason many are sharing El Shaddai is from an online study we are doing, actually there are two on the Names of God!

I agree with Linda...though I don't know you well, it's evident!

I can just smell the ripening peaches on my grandmother's peach trees in Georgia. Yes, I want to be fruitful for the kingdom!
