Rejoicing and Weeping
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15
I know I've been missing of late and if I haven't been to see you, it's because my heart hasn't been into blogging. I hope to be back next week.
I've been busy with others--preparing for a happy event as we put together a bridal shower for some close friends who are to be married next month. A time for rejoicing. And in the meantime, praying and ministering to friends whom I spoke about in the last post. Today was Ben's funeral. A time for weeping.
Such is life, isn't it? I refer you to Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 which was read at the funeral today.

Yes, a time for everything.
Today was a day for weeping, though-- I came away from the funeral with a heart that is so heavy for that dear family.
Mark and I sang "Be Still, My Soul" with our devotions tonight, and I was struck by the lines,
Be still, my soul, thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past;
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake,
All now mysterious shall be bright at last...
What would we do without our hope in Him?
Blogging...never feel guilty for how often you do or do not do it....I think it is more important to put the REAL life first...when you write it is always so wonderful.....
btw..I have an award for you Maxine on my blog..not sure IF you accept them or not...

Amazing how sorrow and then joy mingled last week. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
I am glad you are able to do all that you are able to do for others but I want you to know that I have missed you very much. Have a happy day.
What a perfect balance that He alone can perform in allowed sorrows and then buffering them with joy. May you find rest through Him in all things as you keep your heart and mind focused on our Lord.
