I Have THAT Guy

Today my husband colored and shined my favorite pair of comfortable shoes so that I can get some more time out of them. I'm counting that as a Valentine's gift. So he gets out of giving me diamonds this year. Oh, and he also gave this needy lady a dozen red roses. I think I'll keep him--next to the love of God, his is the best.

My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. I John 3:18

Loved your post, Maxine. How sweet of your husband showing his love like that. I also loved the dog washing video. :o)

Maxine, you are truly loved! My husband has been mentioning Valentine's Day for the past week. Perhaps he'll take me out to eat. But, if he doesn't, it won't make me love him less.

I have never seen these commercials. They're pretty cool but pretty unrealistic. Hahahaha!

So he gets out of giving me diamonds this year.

No way Hosea! j/k *wink*

I might like silk flowers so I could keep them for a long, long time. Have you ever crushed a real flower between bookpages to keep? I'm curious how he colored your shoes.

Hope your V-day continues to be blessed.

That's funny what you said about real flowers, Sparrow. Whenever we get flowers for any occasion, we always go to Produce Junction. Sometimes they last; sometimes not. Well, he got these roses on Tues. and they're already dying. We've had a lot of fun joking about it.

To tell you the truth, I don't know what he put on my shoes. Some kind of dye I think he said.

And Barbara, you are so right. Even if he does absolutely nothing on a particular day of the year, we won't love him any less. Sometimes they forget, tho V-Day is hard to forget as much as its talked about. Birthdays and anniversaries are the ones that sometimes get forgotten if we don't throw out the hints. :-)

I think those commercials are so cute. There's also the one with the guy painting her fingernails.

I loved this but it's definitely not us.

I think we said hello to each other as I went out for a meeting.

We even forgot to exchange cards!

He gave me a kiss before he left for work on Thursday and my first thought before I went back to sleep was, "Hmmm, that's unusual."

ROFL
