Little Musician

I got a digital camera a couple of days ago-finally! So you folks may have to be subjected to my photo taking experiments for a few days. You know that Lena has to be one of the first pictures I'd put on this blog and here she is singing and playing the piano at our house yesterday. You should have heard her--she's quite musical! I don't think I took this particular picture, but it is one of the first with my new camera and I learned how to transfer them to the computer and all that good stuff. Now I figured out how to work the flash which would have helped on this shot. I'm quite pleased with myself as I've never been anything remotely resembling a photographer. I'll be back tomorrow with another picture if I get a chance!

I'm hoping that maybe I'll be a more normal grandmother now since I can get prints of photos like these. Most of the time when people ask to see a picture of my granddaughter I only have one from long time ago. Now maybe I can do the usual grandparent thing and whip out a bunch of pictures when I run into folks who ask about grandkids.I do have this little digital keychain thing, but I want real pictures!

What a pretty picture of little Lena, Maxine! You will have to get that child some piano lessons. I'm glad you got a camera. Looking forward to more pretty pictures ~

Good for you. I love the picture and the little one. I am so glad that she is musical. What joy that will bring. I am so glad that you got a camera. I got a camera but my printer doesn't work well so I can't take the pictures off of it. Maybe soon. Have a great picture taking day. connie from Texas

That is such a sweet picture. Do encourage her in playing the piano! My daughter didn't want to take until she was older, and then only stuck with it 3 years. Her kids aren't musical, except for her 14 year old son. He got interested in the guitar because of Papa. Papa also bought him a guitar and they play together. He's gotten pretty good and is interested in our kind of music, not the mess most teenagers want to listen to or play. He likes the old tunes. I pray he stays that way.

Deby and Connie: Isn't it fun being a high tech grandmom? I think we're doing alright with our computers and digital cameras and the like.
Barbara, I hope your grandson aways wants to play music with his papa and that he always loves good kinds of music.
Sorry I haven't come back with a new picture yet. I sort of wanted to leave Lena up top another day.

Talent AND beauty. What a lovely combination. Plus, we know for sure she has such a personality and that her favorite color is pink. I love pink and gray together.

God delights in His children, so why shouldn't we delight in our children and our children's children. I'm looking forward to more of your 'grandmother' photos.

Thank you for being a wonderful sister in the Lord. hugs2u

Maxine,

This is a beautiful photo of a beautiful child. I'm glad you didn't use the flash. The dark background gives it a nice portrait quality.

Thanks, Janet. And thanks for stopping by. You're right. I rather like it without the flash now that you mention it.
