Sanctity of Human Life Day

In one of his final actions in the White House, President Bush on Thursday declared Jan. 18 to be “National Sanctity of Human Life Day.”

“All human life is a gift from our creator that is sacred, unique and worthy of protection. On National Sanctity of Human Life Day, our country recognizes that each person, including every person waiting to be born, has a special place and purpose in this world,” reads the presidential proclamation.

Well thank the Lord for that, at least.

That is wonderful, Maxine. It will just give the liberals something else to persecute him for.

I must tell you, I love President Bush. I wept last night as I watched his final address. I am going to miss him...and his belief in the worthiness of the lives of the unborn.

Love,
Patti

What a wonderful departing declaration of his faithful convictions founded in Biblical truths. But what an unwelcome message in a changing world that encourages the aborting/murder of life on demand. To stand against such opposition is admirable.

Amen, Sparrow. Amen.

We are indeed saying goodbye to a wonderful man and his wife - one of the best every in the White House. You never had to wonder where their heart laid - spiritually or morally! And they care for America deeply, regardless of how much they have been persecuted.

Ah Maxine, life is such a gift from God. If only others would recognize it as such. Thank you as always for focusing on such important and timely topics.

BTW - I have two very special authors on my blog today talking about "raising boys". I know you have two girls, but as a Sunday School teacher and educator, I thought you or others might be interested in their godly insight!

God bless and have a great week!

Hello Maxine,

You visited one of my blog (Speak on it with LisaS) the other day and left a very heart warming message. I could see that our hearts were one in CHRIST immediately and so I'm over here today to visit with you.

I love you already because we are family in Christ. I stand in agreement with your heart on the matter of life, our President Bush (whom I will miss as well), and on the matters concerning President Obama and so...

We pray and we trust in the LORD and we speak up and speak out as the LORD leads.

I look forward to visiting again with you. God bless you.
