Endangered

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the
fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3

Yesterday, I was listening to a broadcast over the internet and I heard this particular verse being referenced. Hearing it made me want to post this picture again and pair it with this verse. I posted this picture on several occasions, the first time being when we were waiting for the birth of our first grandchild. I've posted the same image on a couple of other occasions and it has become dear to me. I don't know where I got it, but there are many like it over the internet.

This verse and this image are just another indication of how far our country has strayed from the Word of God. I refuse to refer to the one who is pictured above as a "fetus." He or she is a baby and God refers to this baby as "fruit" and "a reward." Those who think otherwise are going to have to answer to Him.

The person who was being interviewed in that broadcast was given some hard news during her pregnancy with her child who is now nine months old. The doctor gravely looked at her and asked: "How committed are you to this pregnancy?" It was asked in such a way so as to let her know that she did not need to continue on with said pregnancy. She gave the best answer anyone can give: "I'm committed to this baby" was her reply.

It made me think about our need, myself included, to be more committed to the lives of the countless babies who are endangered. Unfortunately, there are some who are more at risk than the many animals which are on the endangered species list. And because of that, I fear our country should be on that list.

Pray that the Lord will lead us all into what more we can do for these babies and for the future of America.

I so agree, Maxine, and this scripture and picture go well together. I too often forget to pray for the unborn; thank you for this reminder today.
Blessings to you,
Laurie

Amen, Maxine! This is so true. I love that picture pared with that scripture. That is one of my favorite scriptures too. There has been a war proclaimed against the unborn & as you say, sadly.....the lives of our precious little babies are not considered to be as important as the lives of animals. It's so, so sad and so disgraceful.
Thank you for sharing. (((Hugs0))) and wishes for a fabulous day for you!

Amen! I like the verse and picture combination. Your post is a great reminder to remember those who are unable to speak for themselves.

powerful post Maxine...we DO need to be more committed to those lives unborn and committed to the women who chose to have them. So many are not equipped and we can help them.

What great words you shared today!

peace to you!

We had a Mother on Mother's Day with her daughter doing a joint presentation and she shared the pain of going for an ultrasound and then finding no child there.
I had been reflecting that when I lost the ability to have chn through surgery at age 31, that my parents also faced the loss of Grandchildren as I was an only child. Maturity puts light on things in a different form. But He is enough.

It was a serious crime in the Bible if you caused a pregnant woman to lose her child and God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He never changes praise God!

Just as the scripture said you posted...the fruit of the womb is his reward.....if the seed of the fruit is destroyed....we will have a famine in our land and we are already seeing that in many areas of the US such as government, schools, technology, lives of people, etc.....
