Happy Birthday, Bev!!

We have yet another birthday to celebrate in our family. This time it's Bev! Many of you know my daughter Beverly, whose blog is "next door" to mine. (So many people go back and forth from hers to mine, it's like we're next door to each other.) Today, she is turning twenty-seven years old. We are so thankful to our Father in heaven for giving her yet another year.

[About the picture: I didn't realize until a bit ago that we don't seem to have any recent photos of her without Selena. I don't think she'll mind that Lena is sharing her birthday blog post picture.]

This daughter of ours has been a blessing to her dad and me since we first laid eyes on her. And I don't say that lightly. She made a profession of faith when she was four years old and I can honestly say I think it was real. When she first gave her heart to Jesus, we told her that we would be "looking for fruit." Well we saw it, and still see it. We saw her desire to please God as a child, teen, and now a young wife and mother. She's a child of Adam, of course, like the rest of us, so please remember her in prayer that God will continue to uphold her.

If you'd like to read what her sister thinks of her go here. Needless to say, my husband and I are doubly thankful for our two girls!!!

This is the Bible verse that we gave her as a life verse. She learned it when yet a toddler and we put it on every birthday card and cake. So I should put it here too!

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-7

If you have time, go over and wish her a "Happy Birthday"!

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday, dear Bevvy
Happy Birthday, to you!!!!!!!!

Love, Dad and Mom

Hi Maxine,
Thanks for stopping by! You're so right, it's been a busy summer. I always enjoy my visits here, and will try to stop by a bit more often. I see I also missed your hubby's birthday, so Happy Birthday to both he and your beautiful daughter!

Psalm 144:12-13 -
Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.
Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields.

Oh, Maxine, how you have been blessed - with not one, but two wonderful daughters! And Bev, well, she brings honor to you and the Lord with every breath, every sweet word, every voiced desire, and in the fruit of her life. She is a pillar that has been carefully carved to bring beauty and praise to the Father.

Thank you for raising her so well - she is a tribute to the One who made her.

You have a beautiful daughter. Isn't wonderful to see how our children grow and learn in Christ? It's fun seeing my daughter becoming a woman of God.

BTW - discovered why you couldn't get my MT blog to work - it's on the profile now.

Your little girl sure doesn't look 27!
This is such a beautiful picture of her and Selena...It looks like they are together all the time, eh?
It wouldn't be right the one without the other!
