Hot Dog!

Dinner for tonight! Looks good, right? Ours won't be cooked on the outside grill, but I like them just as much panfried. I know, I know, they're not that good for you, but it's the opening night of the World Series!! What goes better with baseball than hot dogs? So that's what we're all about tonight. You would not believe how much excitement there is in the northeast where I live over this World Series. I have never seen anything quite like it. Yankees fans and Phillies fans are really going at it! I hope everyone takes it for what it really is--a game. Lots of fun, yes, but we all should remember it's just a game, and at the end of it all, whoever wins, we need to keep in mind that

JESUS STILL REIGNS!!!!!!!

Yep, we are tried and true home team Phillies fans. My sons' school, which usually has the kids wear uniforms, had Phillies colors dress down day for the kids! They loved it although there must be a few New Yorkers among the school families, namely our baseball coach's son - uh oh, who knew? Not me, I'm sure my son did - lol! I won't hold it against the coach though since he is a great guy with a heart for the LORD!

And there's nothing like a hotdog and baseball. Although both my boys are sick - had to pick up my youngest early from school today. Looks like soup tonight instead :(

Oh and my dear, what a beautiful post earlier about what you write on your blog. How aptly put.

May your blog continue to be a light in this dark world. It is and I for one am blessed every time I read here, whether it's about hotdogs or family, or politics. (smile) Your life shines for Jesus! Praise Him!!!

And as I've read back a few posts catching up, I wanted to say too what a lovely couple your daughter and son-in-law make. Praise God for his provision. He is good!

Yes, we're rooting the Phillies on (my son, of course, as a HUGE Red Sox fan, isn't necessarily rooting FOR the Phillies...rather, he's rooting AGAINST the Yankees!!). But you're right, it's only a game. It has no eternal significance. In fact, five years from now, most people won't even remember who won The Series this year.

However, with all the worrisome things going on in the world today, a little diversion IS a welcome thing.

Go, Phillies!!

Hugs,
Patti
