Ladybug Party!

A little girl doesn't realize it, but today is her first birthday, and to celebrate, she's having a BIG party--with a "ladybug" theme! Lots of folks will be there, some family and some friends. I wonder how she'll like it. It's been my experience that the guest of honor seldom appreciates his/her one year old party. We'll see!! I hope to take some pictures and if so, I'll let you see a few.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHANA! YOU ARE LOVED!!!!!XOXOXO from Nanna.

(She looks a little worried, doesn't she?)
*****UPDATE*****

Well, I kept my reputation of terrible picture taking. I hardly took a decent one at the party, but wanted to share at least one. The following is of one of her happier moments; the best part of the day was eating the cake and opening the presents. Here's one from the latter, but other than those two activities, she could have done without the day. But the rest of us all had a great time!

I'll bet she's gonna have a great time! Seems just like yesterday my daughter had a 1st birthday and we had a Raggety Ann and Andy theme. That was 36 years ago...time flys we we're having fun! Happy Birthday wishes to the little one!

Oh look at her beautiful eyes!!! Can it be she's a year already? Wow, where did time go. How blessed you are dear Nanna!

(BTW - I don't know if I told you, we call my dad's mom Nanna.)

Have a wonderful ladybug birthday today!

And thanks for your comments on my last post. We are living in troubled times, the last days for sure!

Happy birthday, sweet Shana. Even if you don't enjoy your party, you'll LOVE looking at all the photos in a couple years.

Hi Nanna,

You are such a blessing. Thank you so much for your encouragement and support. I just wanted to stop by and say hi. I have been swamped but today I am taking the time to try and contact as many of my friends as possible.

I knew of a family that celebrates with a huge party their child's 6 month birthday. I'm talking lots of family and friends and tons of gifts! Crazy. Oh well, to each it's own, right?
Happy birthday to your cute Granddaughter

first birthdays are such a fun day. it's too bad that the one who is celebrating their first doesn't understand what a special day it is. but the rest of the party goers do and that's the fun of it.

she's a doll.
