Unstoppable Force

News reports are mind boggling as we read about the fires in Southern California. Fed by intense winds, these fires are chasing people from their homes at a rate that has never been seen in the state at any prior time. I think almost a million people so far. There is so much to pray for these days, isn't there? I have no close family in California, but request prayer for the people there. I have a very good bloggy friend at my other blog named Mishel who is very much impacted. Her husband is a firefighter and has been off fighting the fires in one area and their daughter Ashleigh is expecting a baby any time now. They are keeping us all on the edge of our seats in their family. Please pray for them and for the families of other bloggers who I know of who are out there too. Don't know if any have lost their homes yet.

Praying for them too...and Mishel...and you know I had this strange or whatever thought.....I am so glad I am SAVED and KNOW it..because HELL is hot..forever...I think we could look at these and think of people we know don't know the Lord...and ask the Lord to make us more aware of how awful hell will be..
Don't know if this makes sense..but when I see fire of this magnitude..I thank the Lord for my salvation...

That is so horrible what is happening in CA. I think so many are praying for the people and firefighters. One thing that gets on my nerves on the Fox news is when they keep mentioning "Mother Nature." Has anyone else noticed that? God is the one who can help.

Connie: I agree. What an impat on the lives of these people, but I hope there will be a spiritual impact.

Deby: I thought about the fires of hell also. I hope the people in CA will too.

Cathy: I know. The news media loves to talk about Mother Nature. I think it's hard for them to think of God with relation to these things. After all, one Blogger posed the question as to whether God may be angry about some things. People would find it hard to think about that. But, as you indicated, He is also the One whom they should turn to for help--He is merciful if we repent.

Sad and sobering news... I will be praying for these families, especially Mishel and her family.

I really feel for those people in California. I do have friends and family in CA. I think only one of them might be near the fires.

It behooves me to understand how anyone could get a high out of starting a fire that could harm so many people and burn their homes and businesses.I pray they find the culprit and he spends life in jail! This is sad, and 2 people already have died unnecessarily!

Praying for everyone and especially Mishel in this time of uncertainty. I love what Deby said about this making her thankful for salvation.

I am sure God is extremely angry about some things happening in CA. Did you see picture at the Folsom Street festival where a certain group was mocking the Last Supper? I don't think God will allow that. And the governor passing the bill regarding mentioning mom and dad, husband and wives in school, etc? Sad what is happening in our country.

Cathy, you might want to go read a post by Christina (http://baptist-girl.blogspot.com) called "Does God Get This Mad?" I thought it was interesting.
Still, much prayer is needed for God to have mercy.
